The staff was great! They found the pillow I left in the room and are holding it for me - hurrah! I don't live in Portland, so can't pick it up immediately, but they're going to hold it for me. I really appreciate them going the extra mile for me. I like the convenient location off I5 & 217, too.
Toilet gurgled all night. I stayed in the same room six weeks ago and this wasn't happening then. Breakfast very ho-hum - eggs too salty. Also, cost is considerably up from my last stay - summer rates?
The hotel staff at the front desk was extraordinarily helpful. They were friendly and eager to help with anything we needed.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast always had a good selection, including fresh fruit daily.
We requested a ground floor room several weeks in advance but there was not one available when we arrived. The sauna was under repair-
I liked the cleanliness of the room..comfort of bed..pool..hot tub
I didn't like the high price due to added taxes..and breakfast layout should be planned better for ease of making choices..waffle maker should be at the end
The location was very good and the room was clean. We will definitely consider staying here again.
Our only complaint was that the tub didn't drain very well.
Don't be late for the breakfast. Aimed at business travelers getting going early.
I liked the location - close to Lake Oswego, easy access off the freeway yet set back some from it, within walking distance of a great Thai restaurant. I didn't get a chance to use the bicycle/walking path along Kruse Way, but that seemed appealing to me, too. I liked the free parking, too.
No bad experiences, just a minor detail: we parked in the lower parking lot, which has immediate access to the lower floor, but there are no curb cuts to reach the sidewalk. That's a minor inconvenience for rolling luggage, but would be a bigger deal for a stroller or a wheelchair. Our room would otherwise have been pretty much accessible for anyone.
Lovely room, quiet and secure facility, I would stay there again any time I am visiting my family in Lake Oswego.
clean and free wifi, friendly and efficient staff, renovating hotel.
After our family returned to the hotel late in the evening following a wedding celebration, which is why we were in Sherwood OR, my daughter realized she didn't have a toothbrush. I knew that the front desk provides emergency supplies like a toothbrush, so we went downstairs and I encouraged my daughter to speak to the front desk person without my help. I stayed back and watched the Marriott nightshift employee treat my daughter with care and respect. A few minutes later, I returned to the front desk for a toilet plunger (family life!), and the same front desk manager found a plunger and offered to unplug the toilet for me. Of course, I didn't take her up on her offer; however, I think she deserves a huge award for offering to go the extra mile when she could easily have handed me the plunger and require me to bring it back down to the front desk. Her smile and pleasant attitude was such an unexpected surprise at 11:45 PM that I am pleased to send this message. I never have sent a commendation to Marriott despite the fact that the service is usually good, but her pleasant attitude was so unexpected and welcome that I want to tell you, she is responsible for renewing my commitment to Marriott
The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, didn't blink an eye about taking time to explain how to get downtown printing out a map to follow,,,,places to eat etc.
Only that I didn't know there were black out curtains in the room tucked away behind the window side panels, until we were leaving and mentioned it to front desk,so had lots of light from front entry
Great hotel for the price. Clean and comfortable. Walking distance to many restaurants. We were a big group of around 25 persons, yet check in was smooth. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was limited and the same every single day
The room was clean and nice, price was good, bed comfortable and our end of the hotel almost quiet.
Food at the breakfast buffet tasted ok, but not excellent. Both of us left ready to eat something more satisfying for lunch. For me, I wish Marriott really meant it when they encouraged us to "save the earth" - the sign was sitting next to plastic cups, covered in plastic (real glasses would be more sustainable) and everything at the breakfast service (plates, utensils, etc.) was disposable and not even recyclable or compostable.
- Freundliche Mitarbeiter - Sauber
